This forum is for discussion of iPunchclock the 4D spacetime tracker for your iPhone from epIPhoné Coders Guild. We welcome your suggestions and comments, and will try to help with any problems.
If you don't have a google docs account, now might be the time to consider it, since iPunchclock can use that account to backup and restore your timesheets. You can even restore to a different device. There is also TSV support, and flexible rounding (up) of times. A few bugs were also quashed.
Unfortunately, for me, the 4.0.0 update crashes constantly if you do the following: 1. Record new time slice for a few seconds. 2. Stop and try to edit the start time.
Please, anyone, verify or decline my issue so I can move on.
I had to backup all my data and revert to an old version (luckily I made a backup before update).
You can find an article about reverting an app with google search for emoji downgrading .
I just want to note that it's been fortunate and unlucky for all of us having iPunchclock 4.0.0 and iPhone OS 3.1.3 Update on the same day. I've got the same problems and come here to write but I'm amazed you guys have done it.
I thank epIPhoneCoder in advance for his having submitted the fixed one.
Apple has been pretty quick with the turnaround on small updates. So let's cross our fingers. In the meanwhile, you can use the new backup/restore feature to edit shifts, although it is not pretty. The backup stores an XML file into a google document. This is a readable text format which you could edit on your browser, then restore to your iPhone. The shifts should be easy to find, though the whole process will be kind of a pain. Thank you for your patience.
I'm heading back to paper & pencil for the duration. The attractiveness of this app was to make moving between work for multiple clients easy, and with this glitch I can't afford the time or risk of a complex work around. Looks like a marathon entry session whenever the update shows up on iTunes. Hoping this is a true fix - feels way too much like my Treo when Palm abandoned diligence with their software.
